One of three current work groups under the Afterschool for All Initiative, the Workforce Development Work Group will inform the strategic directions of the Afterschool for All Initiative in the 2009-2010 school year.
The charge of this Work Group is:
- Explore the workforce development and professional development models/structures that have been successful in other cities and communities
- Develop a local strategy to address the workforce development needs of the afterschool field, including issues such as retention, recruitment, professional development and compensation of afterschool staff
